Managing Time Effectively

If you want something done quickly, give it to a busy person!

Time management is not about control of time per sé, but the ways we can use time to improve our working lives. In particular, time management skills will help to address the "big four" areas:

  •  Stress
  •  Balance
  •  Productivity
  •  Goals

Through the use of a daily time log, the reader can determine how they spend time now and from there, plan improvements to:

  • Secure more results in shorter periods of time.
  • Identify and delegate not important / not urgent tasks.
  • Systematise their work load to a level of greater efficiency.

The Daily Time Log is also designed to let the reader determine answers to the following questions:

On which tasks am I devoting too much time?

On which tasks am I devoting too little time?

Which activities can or should I eliminate or delegate to others?

On completion of the module's diagnostic Managing Your Time Effectively, the reader can then identify personal habits and traits in relation to time management; and begin to classify tasks in terms of their urgency and importance.

The second diagnostic The Workaholic Test then leads into the exploration of the Top 40 Time Wasters and How to Cure Them

A personal action plan finalises the module.
